Inoltre ha richiesto la Scozia per adottare il sistema inglese del DNA che permette che i profili dei sospetti siano mantenuti anche se non sono caricati affatto del wrongdoing.

La polizia in Scozia deve distruggere le annotazioni del DNA della gente non colpevole ma può mantenere i campioni di quelle accusate dei crimini sessuali o violenti per tre anni.

Ci sono intorno 4.2 milione profili del DNA immagazzinati in Inghilterra, che ha la base di dati genetica più grande nel mondo.

Tuttavia, un'inchiesta di governo ha suggerito l'ultima settimana che un milione di di questi dovrebbe essere distruttoe perché sono venuto dalla gente che non era stata condannata mai.

Le basi di dati aumentanti nord o sud del DNA del bordo inoltre sarebbero opposte fortemente dai gruppi di diritti dell'uomo e da molti politici. In Scozia, la base di dati attualmente tiene i profili genetici di intorno 200.000 Scots.

Il sig. House ha detto che stava sollecitando il ministro adotta il sistema inglese e che ha usato il caso del Bowman assassinato del Sally Anne dell'adolescente per sostenere il suo caso.

Il suo assassino è stato interferito dalla polizia metropolitana in gran parte attraverso un campione del DNA raccolto dopo un avvenimento indipendente che era già nel sistema.

Ha aggiunto: “In Scozia è probabile che il DNA sia stato distrutto ma in Inghilterra non era, esso sono stati messi sulla base di dati e sono stati abbinati. Ci sono esempi numerosi di dove quello è accaduto.

“Un sistema ancor più completo è di dire che andremo il maiale intero. Dimentichi il criminality, noi prenderà il DNA da tutto nel paese.

“Se il pubblico ed il governo decidono desiderano farli, voi lo farebbero gradualmente.

“Uno dei sensi farlo è che direste che tutti i bambini neonati farebbero registrare il DNA e quando fate domanda per la patente del driver il vostro DNA sarebbe preso e nel corso degli anni inizierebbe gradualmente a elaborare una base di dati di 100 per cento. Tratterrebbe la gente? Quello è meno determinato, ma rileveremmo più crimine.„

L'anno scorso, un giudice maggiore richiesto l'intera popolazione BRITANNICA ed ogni ospite in Gran-Bretagna da mettere sulla base di dati del DNA.

Lord Justice Sedley, one of England’s most experienced appeal court judges, described the country’s current system as “indefensible”.

However, any move towards a national database would meet with fierce opposition. Nick Clegg, leader of the Lib Dems, has described the British public as the most “spied upon on the planet”.

The organisation Liberty said a database of every man, woman and child in the country was a “chilling proposal, ripe for indignity, error and abuse”.

And the human rights lawyer John Scott said yesterday that the plan would “disturb the balance between the state and the individual”.

He added: “At a time when people are calling for the English system to be closer to our own, we shouldn’t be going in the opposite direction.

“We could get a situation where outside bodies like insurance firms manage to get hold of DNA from innocent people and use it for their own purposes.”

The issue is being reviewed for the Scottish Executive by Prof James Fraser of Strathclyde University’s centre for forensic science.

Simon Davies, of the human rights watchdog organisation Privacy International, said the Strathclyde force had a history of “obsession with DNA collection” and it was time it was “reined in”.

He added: “It was Strathclyde that proposed many years ago mandatory DNA collection for even minor offences. What it is proposing is a step too far.”
