US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump says Democratic rival Hillary Clinton “lies like crazy” after she claimed that his anti-Muslim rhetoric is a recruiting tool for Daesh (ISIL) terrorists.
“She lies like crazy about everything,” Trump said in an interview with the “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “She’s a liar and everybody knows that.”
“Hillary’s not strong, Hillary’s weak, frankly. She’s got no stamina, she’s not nothing,” the billionaire businessman said.
He was referring to a comment Clinton made on Saturday at the Democratic presidential debate, where she stated that Trump’s rhetoric about temporarily banning Muslims from entering the US is helping ISIL’s recruitment strategy.
“They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radicals,” said Clinton, a former US secretary of state.
