US Secretary of State John Kerry has warned the country’s lawmakers over proposed new sanctions against Iran.
Kerry reiterated that the US and other parties to Iran nuclear negotiations are united in support of an interim deal with Tehran. He urged the lawmakers to calm down as any unilateral move could result in the US quickly losing its partners.
Kerry made the remarks prior to testifying before the Senate Banking Committee, which is examining a new package of sanctions against Iran.
