Corporate media traitors to Constitution

A political analyst says that most of the corporate media in the United States are traitors to the Constitution of the country.

Å“Most of the corporate media are themselves traitors to the spirit of the Constitution of the United States or at least whatâ„¢s written there,” Charles Young told Press TV on Thursday.

He made the remarks after National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden said in a recent interview that he did not provide the mainstream media in the US with his leaks because the US media have failed their audiences for fear of being Å“punished.”

Snowden said the US media have not engaged in discussing the excesses of US governmentâ„¢s behavior since the 9/11 events.

Å“I agreed completely with what Snowden is saying and his act of putting real information in the hands of the American people is viewed as the act of a traitor,” Young said.

Å“I admire Snowden very much for his courage. You know heâ„¢s going to have a tough life for his time on earth as well as Bradley Manning,” he added.

Snowden has revealed the US governmentâ„¢s secret surveillance programs under which the US spy agencies collect massive amounts of data on peopleâ„¢s communications via telephone and the Internet.
