CNN, Fox News and MSNBC cut the live coverage of a rally by Donald Trump to turn to a speech by his rival, Hillary Clinton, a report says, calling the move “unprecedented.”
The three major cable networks dumped the coverage of the rally in Atlanta, Georgia, to show Clinton’s speech in Hampton, Virginia, Washington Examiner reported on Wednesday, describing the decision as a “rare” one.
Trump was speaking about immigration, and terrorism in the wake of a deadly terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida, on Sunday.
The billionaire businessman’s speech was being carried live by all the three networks but as Clinton began speaking they all shifted to the Democratic candidate.
The move runs counter to the trend the US mainstream media has adopted in treating the real estate mogul.
Trump was said to have earned nearly $2 billion worth of free press up to March alone, nine months after launching his campaign.

So far, CNN, MSNBC and Fox have covered him…
