The failure to reach a nuclear agreement with Iran shows that the United States has turned into a colonized entity reporting to Israel, a political analyst says.
�œLet�™s just keep our fingers crossed that at some point the American government will return to being the American government instead of some kind of colonized entity reporting to the Israelis,” Kevin Barrett, who is the founding member of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance, told Press TV on Monday.
The latest nuclear talks between Iran and the US, Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany ended in Geneva without a deal. But the two sides planned to meet again later this month.
Barrett also said the refusal of France and the trip of a US delegation to Tel Aviv showed the power of the Israel lobby over the issue.
�œI think in both cases what we�™re seeing is the power of the Israel lobby and to a certain extent with its new close ally Saudi Arabia,” he said.
�œThe French are pandering to the Israelis and the Saudis, hoping to get Israeli military contracts and oil money from Saudi Arabia,” the analyst argued.
Barrett said it is a �œscandal” and �œdisgrace” for the United States that Israel has the power to prevent an agreement that is in the best interests of the international community.
