A robber armed with a shotgun kicked down the front door of North Portland home and demanded money from the people inside, only to be pushed down a flight of stairs and knocked unconscious Monday night, according to Portland police.

Officers said 38-year-old Joshua McCoy broke down the front door in the 10300 block of North Tyler Avenue.

But things didn’t go so well from there for the suspect and his pistol-grip shotgun, according to police.
