White House deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes says that US President Barack Obama will not meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin next month.
The decision reflected US anger after Russia rejected the White Houseâ„¢s pleas to return National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden back to the United States to face prosecution.
Moscow last week offered temporary asylum to Snowden.
