Man shot in Fl. gas station, dies later
The shooting marks the second time in a week a person has been shot and killed at a South Florida gas station.
A confrontation at a South Florida gas station led to gunfire, leaving one man dead and his alleged shooter on the loose, officials said.
Authorities said the shooting took place at a Citgo on Northwest 34th Street and State Road 7, Sunday.
The victim in this case had driven up to the Citgo and was sitting inside his vehicle when someone approached him and fired several times,” said Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Keyla Concepcion.
Officials said the victim attempted to drive away after the alleged gunman took off. “The victim attempted to drive and managed to get down 10 blocks here to 31st Street, where he ended up crashing into the median,” said Concepcion.
The victim was airlifted to Broward Medical Health Center, but later died from his injuries. Police are continuing to investigate why he was targeted.
