A new book has revealed a detailed “hit list” that the team of former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton has prepared of their political enemies and friends in the Democratic Party since 2008 after Clinton failed in her presidential bid.

The list formatted into a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet has rated Democrats from one to seven, with 7 being the worst, Politico and the Hill reported Monday, based on the forthcoming book, “HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton.”

The list was mostly based on who endorsed then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008, who endorsed Clinton and who did not make any particular contribution to either.

The 7s were Å“particularly galling to the Clinton team”, according to the makers of the list. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.; Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va.; Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa.; and Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., were among those to earn a score of 7 on the list.

Å“Almost six years later most Clinton aides can still rattle off the names of traitors and the favors that had been done for them, then provide details of just how each of the guilty had gone on to betray the Clintons”as if it all had happened just a few hours before,” write the authors, reporters Jonathan Allen of Politico and Amie Parnes of The Hill. Å“The data project ensured that the acts of the sinners and saints would never be forgotten.”

Except from keeping track of those who betrayed the family, the list was also aimed at keeping record of those who helped them, so Clinton could return their favors in the future.

The book was written by Politico’s Jonathan Allen and The Hill’s Amie Parnes. It comes out next month, but excerpts were published by Politico and The Hill.

Clinton has said that she will decide later this year on whether she will run for 2016 presidency or not.
