Gunmen have attacked a group of Muslim worshippers in the northern Nigeria city of Kano, killing three people, the police say.
Police spokesman Magaji Majia said that the incident occurred around 6:00 pm on Monday when three armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on a group of people preparing for evening prayers in a business district of the city.
According to Majia, the attack left one person injured too.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
On Saturday, unknown gunmen attacked three villages in northwestern Nigeria, killing at least 10 people and wounding seven others.
Zamfara state Information Commissioner, Ibrahim Birnin Magaji said on Sunday that the attackers targeted the villages of Akuzo, Makera, and Usu in the rural region.
Magaji said the gunmen attacked the villages on Saturday morning when people were leaving the mosques following morning prayers.
