Plus de vols de Gitmo Espagne finie en 2007
MADRID : Presque 50 vols à ou du camp controversé sur terreur des USA « font la guerre » à l'espace aérien espagnol utilisé par compartiment de Guantanamo entre 2002 et 2007 et 11 débarqué en Espagne, l'EL Pais lundi quotidiennement rapporté.
L'EL Pais a cité des figures fournies par le corps de gestion d'aéroport AENA, une partie du ministère de transport, au juge Madrid-basé Ismael Moreno. Moreno is investigating at least 10 CIA-chartered flights which landed in the Balearic islands between January 2004 and January 2005 and which are suspected of having been used for the CIA’s “rendition” strategy.
This involves flying terrorist suspects through European states to detention in third countries. Amid allegations of the use of torture, the US treatment of the suspects has been widely criticised. The US administration insists that the “rendition” programme is legal however. afp
