Miliband: Wir entscheiden, wann BRITISCHE Truppen den Irak verlassen

Durch Andrew Grice Die Bush Leitung hat nicht ein Veto über den Plänen der Regierung, zum von Truppen Großbritanniens den Irak herauszuziehen, Minister haben gebildet klar. Die Bush Leitung, die mit seiner „Schwankung“ in Baghdad nach einem Bericht an sich betätigen kann folgender Monat, wünscht Großbritannien ein kontroverses Signal nicht senden und dort ist Furcht in Washington, das die US mehr Truppen nach den Südirak schicken müssen können, um den Abstand durch ein britisches Faltblatt nach links zu füllen. Gefragt auf BBC Radio 4 ob, was in bezug auf ein Baghdad vom Präsidenten George Bush entschieden wurde, würde nicht britische Entscheidungen beeinflussen, Herr Miliband gesagt: „Absolut. Unsere Entscheidungen über Basra sind über die Situation aus den Grund in Basra, nicht die Situation aus den Grund in Baghdad.“ Er besagte britische Kräfte hatte „sehr freie Zielsetzungen, daß der Irak von den Irakern laufen gelassen werden sollte“. Angriffe auf britischen Kräften haben in den letzten Monaten verstärkt, wenn die Rebellen suchen, eine erwartete Zurücknahme zu einem Flughafen außerhalb Basras als demütigender Rückzug zu schildern. Der Außenminister nahm an, daß britische Truppen eine „sehr schwierige gegenüberstellten, sehr haltbare“ Situation aber wies Vorschläge zurück, die sie bereits zurücknahmen. Die besagten BRITISCHEN Betriebe des Premierministers Wortführer würden in „enge Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Verbündeten“ geleitet, aber besagtes Großbritannien mußte die Entscheidungen treffen, die auf der Situation aus den Grund im Irak basierten, und jene Einfassungen Basra und Baghdad waren unterschiedlich. Holdingaussage Herrn Browns am Montag, die haben, kann entworfen worden sein, um Washington zu versicheren, kam in Erwiderung auf Sir Menzies Campbell, der liberale Demokratführer, der einen Ausgang Zeitplan verlangte. Yesterday, Sir Menzies said Mr Brown’s letter to him could have been written by Mr Blair. “We have a moral obligation to the Iraqi Government, but we have a moral obligation towards the young men and women that we send to do difficult and dangerous tasks,” he said. “The level of casualties which were taken, not just the tragic deaths which occur, but the injuries which are being caused, that level in my view is now unacceptable for any perceived benefit.” The Liberal Democrat leader added: “What are we achieving politically for Iraq and what are we achieving militarily for ourselves? There are no legitimate or coherent answers to those questions.” He said the money spent on British operations in Iraq should be spent on equipping the armed forces “to a far greater and better extent which would give us a better opportunity to win in Afghanistan”. He added: “The risk is that we are sacrificing Afghanistan on the altar of Iraq.” Sir Menzies yesterday declared the operation in Iraq a “failure”, becoming the most senior political figure in Britain to do so. Ministers dismissed his claim.
