As the company points out, taking such steps is only prudent. كما ان الشركة تشير الى اتخاذ مثل هذه الخطوات ليست سوى الحكمة.
It should be noted that Wal-Mart’s low prices deliver real benefits to consumers, especially families with low incomes. وتجدر الاشارة الى ان وول مارت انخفاض اسعار بفوائد حقيقية للمستهلكين ، ولا سيما الاسر ذات الدخل المنخفض. Those low prices also help tamp down the national inflation rate. هذه الاسعار المنخفضه احش يساعد ايضا في خفض معدل التضخم وطنية.
But Wal-Mart went too far in its efforts to deal with critics. ولكن وول مارت ذهب بعيدا جدا في جهودها الراميه الى التعامل مع النقاد. The work of the company’s Threat Research and Analysis Group, set up to counter problems such as leaked confidential memos, makes the company look downright paranoid. أعمال الشركة والتهديد والبحث والتحليل المجموعة ، التي انشئت للتصدي للمشاكل مثل سرب المذكرات السرية ، ويجعل الشركة نظرة اكيد المذعور.

Wal-Mart says it has revised some of its practices since the unauthorized recordings were revealed. وول مارت تقول انها نقحت بعض من الممارسات غير المأذون به منذ كشفت تسجيلات. But the issue here largely seems one of degree. ولكن المساله هنا يبدو الى حد كبير من درجة واحدة. As one security consulting executive told The Journal , Wal-Mart’s surveillance program seemed “Orwellian.” الاستشارات الامنية واحدة كما قال التنفيذي اليوميه ، وول مارت للمراقبة ويبدو ان برنامج "اورويلي".
The question of whether Wal-Mart snooped on activist shareholders was recently referred to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s New York office. مسألة ما إذا كانت وول مارت snooped الناشط على حملة الاسهم في الاونة الاخيرة المشار اليها جنة الاوراق المالية والبورصه في نيويورك ومكتب.
Wal-Mart’s board of directors should act on its own to help clear the air. وول مارت مجلس ادارة وينبغي ان تتصرف من تلقاء نفسها للمساعدة فى تطهير الهواء.
It should oversee its own investigation, find out how extensive the snooping was and then make those results public. وينبغي للاشراف على التحقيق الخاصة بها ، ومعرفة اي حد التطفل وبعد ذلك تم تقديم هذه النتائج للجمهور.
