George Bush could be next on the war crimes list

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

THE HAGUE – George W. Bush could one day be the International Criminal Court’s next target.

David Crane, an international law professor at Syracuse University, said the principle of law used to issue an arrest warrant for Omar al-Bashir could extend to former US President Bush over claims officials from his Administration may have engaged in torture by using coercive interrogation techniques on terror suspects.

Crane is a former prosecutor of the Sierra Leone tribunal that indicted Liberian President Charles Taylor and put him on trial in The Hague.

Richard Dicker, director of the International Justice Programme at Human Rights Watch, said the al-Bashir ruling was likely to fuel discussion about investigations of possible crimes by Bush Administration officials.

Congressional Democrats and other critics have charged that some of the harsh interrogation techniques amounted to torture, a contention that Bush and other officials rejected.

The prospect of the court ever trying Bush is considered extremely remote, however.

The US Government does not recognise the court and the only other way Bush could be investigated is if the Security Council were to order it, something unlikely to happen with Washington a veto-wielding permanent member.

George W. Bush, Amerika’s former dry drunk frat-rat corp-rat President, MUST be prosecuted for war crimes and crimes against humanity. It is imperative that this vicious $ociopath (and his evil cohorts) be shipped off to the World Court in the Hague for prosecution… in order to set precedent and thwart temptations of future Amerikan leaders to misbehave.

Frankly… I am astounded and flummoxed on how such a hideous criminal idiot like George W. Bush can become President of the United $tates! It says a lot about the Amerikan people as a whole (and ass-a-hole): clueless and ignorant… and damn proud of it too!

Amerika, probably the most terrible war mongering criminal imperialist nation in world history, now reaps what it $ows. Over the decades… it has earned a karma that screams and screams for evaporation and devolution. Indeed! Where there is no insight, the people perish! THIS is the fate of the $tewepid Amerikan people… and they so richly deserve what’s happening and what’s coming. George W. Bush was the last straw!

I don’t think that Americans are stupid and/or ignorant. They do know what’s going on and what’s taking place but what can they do? They have all the whistle blowers, who have written volumes and given lectures, and that’s how WE got to know what is happening, but there is NO Leader for them Americans!

Maybe, just maybe they need us who are outside the land to pursue justice for they are held immobilized by they own institutions. The worse enemy of the people is the so-called fourth estate.

I can remember when I used to smoke and the laws were starting to change in favor of non-smokers. Me and my smoking friends would all stand around out-side smoking and lamenting that “somebody” needs to do something about this… and so we were all waiting for somebody to do something. consequently, nothing got done. I’m guessing that it would take a lot of courage and probably just as much stupidity and luck to lead anything that bucks the system.
