WikiLeaks had nothing against Trump: Assange

The founder of anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks justifies why it has been releasing documents against the campaign of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Julian Assange released a statement on the WikiLeaks website on US Election Day on Tuesday, complaining about the “pressure” he is under by Democrats, further explaining why no documents were released against GOP nominee Donald Trump.

“That pressure has come from the campaign’s allies, including the Obama administration, and from liberals who are anxious about who will be elected US President,” he wrote.

He also responded to allegations that the transparency group has favored Trump, saying, “At the same time, we cannot publish what we do not have. To date, we have not received information on Donald Trump’s campaign.”

He also commented about the timing of the releases, for which the group has been accused of playing political games, noting, “We publish as fast as our resources will allow…
