An amateur video posted online reportedly shows Turkish border guards interacting with two men who may be militant members of Daesh, also known as ISIL/The Islamic State.
“They are met by what appears to be a military vehicle full of security officials who, despite carrying weapons themselves, do little more than break into conversation with the jihadis, who eventually wander off back into Syria while shouting ‘Allahu Akbar.'”
Russia has accused Turkey of doing business with Daesh, saying Ankara is purchasing oil from the terror group and even supplying it with weapons, equipment and training.
The Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday said its surveillance showed hundreds of tanker trucks gathering at Daesh-controlled sites in Iraq and Syria to load up with oil before crossing the border into Turkey.
