US President Donald Trump is set to sign a Russia sanctions measure by the US Congress, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says.
The new White House spokesperson made the comments in an interview with ABC on Sunday.
Lawmakers at the US House of Representatives will consider the sanctions package as early as Tuesday.
According to Sanders, the Trump administration backs being tough on Russia and “particularly putting these sanctions in place.”

Lingering issues with the bill, which also targets Iran as well North Korea, were finally resolved among Republican and Democratic lawmakers on Saturday.
