US Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has threatened court action against the ‘crooked’ GOP system over its awarding of delegates in the Louisiana Primary.
Trump on Sunday lashed out at the party policy over the way delegates are being awarded following.
The business mogul had won the popular vote in Louisiana’s March 5 contest, bagging 124,818 votes to 113,949 for Texas Senator Ted Cruz, 33,805 for Florida Senator Marco Rubio who later dropped out of the race for the party’s presidential nomination, and 19,355 for Ohio governor John Kasich.
The Republican Party primarily gave Cruz and Trump 18 delegates each, with five going to Rubio.
However, The Wall Street Journal reported recently that Rubio’s delegates will probably go to Cruz along with five unbound delegates as party leaders struggle to keep Trump from gaining the 1,237 delegates needed to secure the GOP nomination.
