Trump: Clinton is chief emissary for globalism

US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has censured his democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, as “the chief emissary for globalism”, accusing her of attributing more significance to so-called special interests than what is best for the country.

“Hillary Clinton is the chief emissary for globalism and I’m not running to be president of the world, I’m running to be president of the United States,” Trump said during a campaign rally in the US state of North Carolina on Tuesday.

The Republican nominee compared himself with Clinton, saying she fails to prioritize the needs of US citizens, specifically on issues like trade and immigration.

“America is going to come first from now on,” Trump said. “Open borders – we’re going to end.”
