Shooting by gang in Brixton caught on CCTV (VIDEO)

Footage of a shooting in Tulse Hill, Brixton, in South London, has been released by anti-gang detectives from the Metropolitan Police in a fresh bid to identify the suspects.

A 20-year-old man was treated for a single gunshot wound to the upper-right thigh, but was released from a South London hospital the next day.

No one else was injured in the shooting, which occurred shortly after 7pm on February 7.

The astonishing footage was shared on the Metropolitan Police’s official Twitter account.

The CCTV shows a moped pulling up alongside three men before the rider chases the victims down the street. The suspect fires two shots at the group before running back to the moped, which is last seen riding off in the direction of Norwood.

The gunman is described as wearing a full-face black helmet with white flashings and dark trousers with white stripes on the leg. The rider of the moped is thought to have worn a light-colored helmet.

Detectives hope the new footage will help identify the two suspects.
