Senate Republicans Change the Rules to Confirm Trump’s Judicial Nominee

Today, one day after the Senate rejected Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination to the Supreme Court and Senate Republicans used the nuclear option to forever alter what was once called the “greatest deliberative body,” Donald Trump’s nominee to the Court has been confirmed.
For more than 200 years, the Senate have honored a 60 vote margin for Supreme Court nominees to be confirmed. Gorsuch only received 55.
