Kentucky Senator Rand Paul will be heading to Russia next week. The prominent Republican will lead a delegation of U.S. officials to Moscow next Monday.
The group will meet with members of Russia’s parliament, but there is no word yet if they will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
No other details of the trip have been released to the public at this time.
The meeting comes on the heels of a summit between President Trump and his Russian counterpart.
Senator Paul recently defended the president’s meeting, saying the U.S. should maintain open communication with Russia.
