Of all the excerpts from the big James Comey interview tonight, this on the impeachment of the president is probably the only one that really stands out.

Here’s the former FBI director saying that he doesn’t believe Donald Trump should be impeached and that his fate should be left to the voters:

Comey says he hopes Trump isn’t impeached because that would “let the American people off the hook” — prefers they vote their values.

Keep in mind, this was after Comey said Trump was “morally unfit” for the office:
