US President Donald Trump decision to withdraw from the international nuclear agreement with Iran was strongly influenced by Zionist and Israeli policies, which dominate US politics, an American scholar says.
Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner was highly instrumental in persuading him to leave the 2015 nuclear deal in May, said Kevin Barrett, an author, journalist and radio host with a Ph.D. in Islamic and Arabic Studies.
“Kushner is a fanatical Zionist extremist who is trying to finish the genocide of Palestine on behalf of the extremist Likud wing in Israel,” Barrett told Press TV on Monday.
“Iran is really the last major country standing between the Zionists and the complete genocide of Palestine and for that reason the Zionists believe they have to find a way to essentially to use extreme force…against Iran,” he added.
