White House chief of staff John Kelly has threatened to quit his post at the administration of US President Donald Trump, which is already battered by numerous resignations and dismissals.
Kelly reportedly threatened to quit while walking back to his office from a meeting with Trump in the Oval Office on March 28.
At the meeting, the 67-year-old retired general “blew up” at Trump, Axios said in a report on Saturday, adding that Kelly’s threat was not related to the firing of former Secretary of Veterans Affairs David Shulkin, which happened on the same day.

According to a senior administration official, calling it a threat was “probably too strong, it was more venting frustration.”
