The administration of US President Donald Trump along with Israel and Saudi Arabia are trying to create a pretext for destroying the Iran nuclear deal and exert more on the Islamic Republic, says an American analyst.
Mark Dankof, a former US Senate candidate, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV about International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano’s confirmation of Iran’s compliance with the deal during a recent US visit.
On Thursday, Amano met with US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley in New York, where they discussed the UN nuclear watchdog’s verification and monitoring of Iran’s implementation of its nuclear-related commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Amano called the JCPOA a significant gain for nuclear verification, and reiterated that Iran is in compliance with the provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal with the world powers.
