PressTV-Trump’s international ratings remain low: Pew survey

America’s global image plummeted following the election of US President Donald Trump, amid widespread opposition to his administration’s policies and a widely shared lack of confidence in his leadership, according to a new international survey.

Trump’s international image remains poor as the second anniversary of his election approaches, and ratings for the United States are much lower than during Barack Obama’s presidency, a new 25-nation Pew Research Center poll finds.

The survey also shows that large majorities in those 25 countries express significant concerns about America’s role in world affairs and say the US doesn’t take into account the interests of countries like theirs when making foreign policy decisions.

Just 27 percent say they have confidence in Trump to do the right thing in world affairs, while 70 percent lack confidence in him.
