A secret memo by Republican lawmakers in Congress alleging bias against US President Donald Trump within the FBI and Department of Justice will trigger a clash between all three branches of government, says an American political analyst.
“This is bound to end up as a Constitutional crisis,” said Myles Hoenig, who ran for the US Congress in 2016 as a Green Party candidate.
“With the media fully behind the Democrats’ mantra of Russia, Russia, Russia, it’s easy for a narcissistic presidential amateur, such as the apprentice Trump is, to feel that they are all working against him,” Hoenig told Press TV on Thursday.
The FBI said Wednesday that the memo, prepared by the US House of Representatives Intelligence Committee, could depict the FBI and Justice Department as deeply politicized and challenges Trump’s pledge to release it.
