Tens of thousands of dollars have reportedly been donated this year for legal defense expenses of US President Donald Trump’s allies in the so-called Russia probe.
A Los Angeles developer who has been a large political contributor to Trump gave the highest donation in the most recent quarter, Politico reported Monday, citing obtained filings.

To raise money amid the investigations, a trio of lawyers set up a new legal defense fund in February, called the Patriot Legal Expense Fund Trust, which is being managed by former New York GOP congresswoman Nan Hayworth.
