Public outrage has been provoked by news that Hollywood megastar Angelina Jolie Pitt will take up a teaching post at the London School of Economics.
The LSE has said that the TV star and activist will join as a visiting professor on a new masters course that will be run by its Center for Women, Peace and Security, launched by Jolie and Lord William Hague in 2015.
The pair co-founded a global scheme to eradicate sexual violence in conflict zones following a film Jolie directed depicting the Bosnian war.
Her directorial debut, In the Land of Blood and Honey, was related to the 1992-95 Bosnian war in which about 20,000 women were reported to have been raped.
