Failing to repeal and replace former President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law has triggered continued fighting between US President Donald Trump and the Congress.
Despite having the majority in both chambers of the Congress and a president in the White House, the Republicans have so far failed to repeal Obamacare to pave the way for Trumpcare as a replacement.
“Unless the Republican Senators are total quitters, Repeal & Replace is not dead!” Trump tweeted Saturday. “Demand another vote before voting on any other bill!”
In an embarrassment for the former businessman, who had campaigned for the White House on what he said were his skills as a dealmaker, the initiative has failed to draw enough support from within Trump’s own party.
