Multiple people are shot dead in a shooting at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in the US state of Florida, reports say.
Former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted on Friday, “I’m at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Shots have been fired. Everyone is running.”
The Broward County Sheriff confirmed that multiple people have been killed and the suspect is in custody, but the motive is not known yet.
“We have no evidence at this time that he was acting with anyone else. He is currently in custody and we’re investigating,” Broward County Mayor Barbara Sharief told CNN.
