Ku Klux Klan to celebrate Trump victory over Clinton

An infamous US far-right group says it will hold a victory parade in celebration of Donald Trump’s election triumph over Hillary Clinton.

The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) hate group made the announcement on Thursday, saying they have plans to hold the parade in the US state of North Carolina without specifying an exact date.

The group, shortly referred to as Klan, is the name of three movements in the US, which have advocated extremist reactionary currents such as white supremacy, white nationalism, and anti-immigration.

Being one of the oldest and most infamous hate groups in the US, the Ku Klux Klan has targeted African Americans, Jews, Catholics and immigrants, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, which studies hate groups.

The white supremacist group, which had about 6 million members in the 1920s, now has some 2,000 to 3,000 members nationally.
