Everyone Has Forgotten Obama Also Threatened to ‘Destroy’ North Korea

Truth Revolt

On Tuesday, President Trump gave a “stark UN speech,” according to ABC News, in which he threatened to “destroy” North Korea.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) called the threat “bombastic” and added that it was a “severe disappointment” which “only further isolates” the United States. NBC News panted, “The speech was a nationalist appeal.”

It seems Trump hit a nerve when he said during his speech, “Rocket man [Kim Jong-un] is on a suicide mission for himself and his regime. The United States has great strength and patience, but if it is forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea.”

These words have sent the media and Democratic politicians into hysterics. But it all shows just how short-term everyone’s memories are. Here’s a flashback to just last year — April, 2016, to be exact — when then-President Obama said EXACTLY THE SAME THING. At the time, “Rocketman” had tested a submarine-launched missile and was also boasting about its nuclear capabilities. Obama responded:

“We could, obviously, destroy North Korea with our arsenals, but aside from the humanitarian costs of that, they are right next door to our vital ally, [South] Korea.”

So, what’s the difference? Well, if it came from Obama’s lips, then it was the right thing to say. But out of Trump’s mouth — he’s ushering in World War III. See how this works?
