Pentagon chief James Mattis gives a pep talk to American soldiers serving outside the United States, urging them to “hold the line.”
The US defense secretary was seen speaking to US troops in an unknown location in a video published recently.
“Our country right now, it’s got problems we don’t have in the military,” Mattis said. “You just hold the line until our country gets back to understanding and respecting each other and showing it.”
He made the comments amid national turmoil following deadly violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.
