George Bush has accused the Venezuelan president of “praising terrorists” and of squandering his country’s oil wealth to fuel a campaign against the US. جورج بوش اتهم الرئيس الفنزويلي "مشيدا الارهابيين" واهدار للبلدة الى الثروة النفطية وقود حملة ضد الولايات المتحدة.

The US president criticised Hugo Chavez’s reaction to a recent Colombian raid on a Farc rebel base in Ecuador that sparked a week-long diplomatic crisis in Latin America. وانتقد الرئيس الاميركي هوغو شافيز الى رد فعل مؤخرا الكولومبيه / فارك / غارة على قاعدة للمتمردين في الاكوادور التي أشعلت لمدة اسبوع دبلوماسي للازمة فى امريكا اللاتينية.

“The president of Venezuela praised the terrorist leader as a good revolutionary and ordered his troops to the Colombian border,” Bush said. "رئيس جمهورية فنزويلا وأشاد زعيم ارهابي كما جيدا الثوريه وامر قواته على الحدود الكولومبيه ،" وقال بوش.

The US leader said the move was “the latest step in a disturbing pattern of provocative behaviour by the regime in Caracas”. الولايات المتحدة واكد زعيم الحركة "هو الخطوة الاخيرة في نمط مثير للقلق من السلوك الاستفزازي من جانب النظام فى كاراكاس".

Bush also reaffirmed his support for the Alavaro Uribe, the Colombian president, and warned that the region was facing a choice over its future. بوش ايضا تأكيد دعمه لalavaro اوريبى ، والرئيس الكولومبى ، وحذر من ان المنطقة تواجه اكثر من اختيار مستقبله.

“The region is facing an increasingly stark choice: to quietly accept the vision of the terrorists and the demagogues, or to actively support democratic leaders like President Uribe. "وتواجه المنطقة بشكل متزايد صارخ الخيار بين أمرين : أن تقبل بهدوء رؤية الارهابيين والديماغوجيون ، او بنشاط لدعم الديمقراطيه قادة مثل الرئيس اوريبى.

“I’ve made my choice. "لقد أجريت خياري. I’m standing with courageous leadership that believes in freedom and peace.” انا دائمة مع القيادة الشجاعه ان تعتقد في الحرية والسلام. "

‘Empty promises’ 'وعود جوفاء'

Bush’s sharp criticism of Chavez came as the White House tried to portray the passage of a US-Colombia free trade agreement as critical to stem Chavez’s influence across Latin America. بوش الانتقادات الحادة التي جاءت شافيز البيت الابيض حاول ان يصور لنا مرور أ - كولومبيا اتفاق التجارة الحرة لأهمية حاسمة للقضاء على نفوذ شافيز في كافة انحاء اميركا اللاتينية.

Wednesday’s speech was made at the US Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. الاربعاء في خطاب وجاء ذلك في الولايات المتحدة من اصل اسباني للغرفة التجارية.

“As it tries to expand its influence in Latin America, the regime claims to promote social justice. "كما تحاول توسيع نفوذها فى امريكا اللاتينية ، فإن نظام المطالبات لتعزيز العدالة الاجتماعية.

“In truth its agenda amounts to little more than empty promises and a thirst for power,” Bush said. "في الحقيقة جدول اعمالها يبلغ اكثر قليلا من وعود جوفاء والتعطش الى السلطة ،" وقال بوش.

“It has squandered its oil wealth in an effort to promote its hostile anti-American vision; it has left its own citizens to face food shortages while it threatens its neighbours,” he added. "وقد بدد ثروته النفطية فى محاولة لتعزيز اعمالها العداءيه ضد الرءيه الاميركية ، بل تركت مواطنيها لمواجهة نقص الغذاء في حين انه يهدد جيرانه".

Colombian apology اعتذار الكولومبيه

Bush spoke just days after Latin American leaders agreed an end to a week-long crisis sparked by the cross-border raid inside Ecuador that killed a Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (Farc) commander. وتحدث بوش بعد ايام قليلة من دول امريكا اللاتينية واتفق القادة على وضع حد لمدة اسبوع الأزمة التي أشعلتها عبر الحدود داخل اكوادور ان الغاره قتلت القوات المسلحه الثوريه في كولومبيا (فارك) قائد.

Ecuador also sent troops to the Colombian border and cut diplomatic ties with Bogota over the incident. اكوادور كما ارسلت قوات الى الحدود الكولومبيه وقطع العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع بوغوتا خلال الحادث.

Colombia apologised and promised never to carry out such a raid again. كولومبيا apologised ووعد أبدا لتنفيذ مثل هذا الهجوم مرة اخرى.

The recent crisis reflected a sharp political divide in South America, where Uribe, who has strong US backing, is opposed by Chavez and his allies who fiercely reject what they call US “imperialism”. الأزمة الاخيرة يعكس الانقسام السياسي الحاد فى امريكا الجنوبيه ، حيث اوريبى ، من الولايات المتحدة بمسانده قوية ، هي معارضة من جانب شافيز وحلفائه من بشراسه رفض ما اسمته الولايات المتحدة "الامبرياليه".

Chavez, who has called for a socialist revolution in Latin America to counter US influence, regularly criticises Bush and once called him the “devil” in a speech to the UN General Assembly. شافيز ، من قد دعا الى اجراء الثورة الاشتراكيه فى امريكا اللاتينية لمواجهة نفوذ الولايات المتحدة ، بشكل منتظم مرة واحدة وcriticises بوش اتصل به "الشيطان" في خطاب القاه امام الجمعية العامة للامم المتحدة.
