Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders says the American people are sick and tired of the economic situation in the United States.
“The American people are sick and tired of seeing the disappearance of the great middle class of this country,” he said in an interview with ABC News on Sunday.
“They’re sick and tired of working longer hours for low wages while at the same time 99 percent of all new income generated is going to the top one percent,” the senator added.
A recent poll conducted by Fox News and released last week showed 59 percent of voters think the economy is hurting.
According to the survey, 22 percent said the United States is still in recession and 37 percent said the country is in an economic downturn.
