US President Barack Obama and Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have held talks over Riyadh’s war on Yemen as well as the conclusion of nuclear talks between Tehran and the six global powers.
As the monarchy continued its endless bombardment of the Arab world’s poorest country, the two world leaders discussed during a Tuesday phone conversation about the “urgent” need to end fighting, the White House said.
The two “spoke about the urgency of stopping the fighting in Yemen and the importance of ensuring that assistance can reach Yemenis on all sides of the conflict.”
While traveling to Philadelphia to give a speech to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) civil rights group, Obama made the call from Air Force One.
