Oh No — Too Much Wine Consumption

This story from The Telegraph notes that we may be coming upon a global wine shortage as supply fails to meet demand.

America’s consumption is fast catching up with that of France, the world’s number one wine market.

Chinese demand, meanwhile, is on an astronomic rise, doubling twice in the last five years. Economists at Morgan Stanley predict that this trend will continue, putting China on course to become the world’s largest consumer of wine by 2016.

The more enlightened millennials are turning away from traditional domestic beer swill as the wine industry pulls them in with exceptional wines at low prices from great places all over the globe.
