Get ready the South Africa World Cup 2010 Soccer is upon us.
Who will past the round of 16? Who will get past the fifth game? Who will charge past the semi’s? Who will make it to the end? Which team is in better physical condition to take the cup?
There will be some 32 teams competing for World Cup glory. The current favourites are Spain and Brazil with North Korea still in for a chance.
June 11th 2010 marked the historical occasion where South Africa hosts the World Cup Football, where one will see a shirt from every nation.
The first match played was between the host nation South Africa and Mexico, which saw a 1-1 draw. Aaron Mokoena was the captain for South Africa whilst veteran Rafael Marquez was captain Mexico. Mokoena still carries the nations hopes on his shoulders so a high degree of pressure is in the making.
The second of the World Cup 2010 soccer games was between Uruguay and France, which again saw a draw, this time 0-0. Captain for France Patrice Evra stated that “The French team has something to play for. We really believe in ourselves.” and of course like Uruguay are not new to winning the world cup.

England’s Steven Gerrard taking over as captain since Rio Ferdinand became injured said “In this day and age I think it’s important to show the referees some respect,” Gerrard said. “You don’t use any language because then you’ll be booked and the whole team suffers. You don’t want to fall into that trap…”We’ve had experience of losing big players at important times.” Saturday is
the day for USA and England.
Many will have already heard and seen the trumpet called a vuvuzela which can measure a whopping three feet. Just imagine if South Africa played Brazil. The combination of the vuvuzela and well known samba drum will be most electrifying. This would be so loud that it would be heard through the African continent. Get your whistles out folks the World Cup 2010 is here.
