A recent survey found that businesses are investing more on search engine optimization (SEO) than ever before.
The survey carried out by ‘Internet Retailer’ discovered that a third of businesses spend 50% of their marketing budgets on SEO.
This follows on from news that demand for SEO has increased 10 fold in the last 12 months.
And with good reason. The majority of businesses who invest in SEO see good returns as online retail spending also continues to increase year on year, with more money being spent online now than ever before.
The trend looks set to continue as offline businesses realise the potential of jumping on board the SEO train, with many rushing to beat their competition while they still can.
What was once looked upon as a secret black art is quickly becoming a mainstream issue, and one that any business would be foolish to ignore.
