Cómo Bush amenazó Gran Bretaña

El Atlántico - - Para prevenir cualquier detalle de su expediente de la tortura que era diseminado público, la administración de Bush amenazó el gobierno británico con el retiro de la inteligencia que compartía si permitió que una corte publicara la evidencia redactada. El Ministro de Asuntos Exteriores David Miliband negó esto el miércoles, pero las letras de los E.E.U.U. han sido lanzadas por las noticias de Channel 4. Y su mensaje es inequívoco. primera letra:

Eso es una amenaza para lastimar la seguridad de un aliado muy cercano a menos que el gobierno británico intervenga en un proceso de la corte para suprimir la evidencia de la tortura de los E.E.U.U. Y ése es cómo la tortura ilegal se separa a través de un sistema legal y militar para minar alianzas así como la regla de la ley. El veneno de Cheney todavía está en el sistema. Y estará durante mucho tiempo. Ése era el punto: los crímenes y las equivocaciones que confiaron eran tales que sus sucesores se encuentran, willy nilly, implicado en ellos.
