Murdoch to buy New York rival Murdoch لشراء منافسه في نيويورك

THE US publishing company Tribune has agreed in principle to sell the New York newspaper Newsday to Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp for about $US580 million ($616million). الولايات المتحدة شركة النشر المنبر وافقت من حيث المبدأ على بيع في نيويورك لصحيفة Newsday 'sروبرت مردوخ نيوز كورب دولار تقريبا لus580 مليون دولار (616million).
Under the terms of a deal, Newsday would be part of a joint venture with the New York Post and other News Corp assets, The Wall Street Journal reported. بموجب شروط الصفقة ، Newsday سيكون جزءا من مشروع مشترك مع نيويورك بوست نيوز كورب وغيرها من الأصول ، والوول ستريت جورنال الابلاغ عنها.

Selling the paper would be key to the plans of Sam Zell, the Tribune chief executive and Chicago real estate magnate, to help slash debt at the company, which he took private in an $US8.2 billion buyout last year. بيع ورقة ان يكون مفتاح خطط سام مدينة زيل ، تريبيون شيكاغو ورئيس السلطة التنفيذية والعقارات قطب ، للمساعدة على القطع الديون في الشركة ، التي تولي القطاع الخاص في us8.2 مليار دولار فى العام الماضى ترك الخدمة مقابل عوض.
The Newsday deal is expected to wipe out as much as $US50million in annual losses that News Corp now incurs on the Post , with the combined Newsday and Post operation earning roughly $US50 million a year, one person familiar with the situation reportedly said. Newsday فان الصفقة ومن المتوقع ان تمحو ما us50million دولار خسائر سنويه في نيوز كورب ان يتحمل الآن على وظيفة ، مع الجمع بين Newsday وبعد انتهاء عملية كسب us50 مليون دولار تقريبا في السنة ، شخص واحد على درايه الحاله قوله.
Regulatory issues could slow the sale, particularly media ownership issues that could restrict the number of properties that News Corp could own in the New York area. المسائل التنظيمية يمكن ان بطء عملية البيع ، ملكيه وسائط الإعلام وخاصة المسائل التي يمكن ان تحد من عدد العقارات التي يمكن لنيوز كورب الخاصة بها في منطقة نيويورك.
An announcement of a deal could be some time away. اعلان عن صفقة يمكن ان يكون بعيدا بعض الوقت.
Other parties to express interest in Newsday include Mortimer Zuckerman, who owns the Post’s rival, the New York Daily News , and Cablevision Systems Corp, the Wall Street Journal reported. الاطراف الاخرى لتعرب عن اهتمامها Newsday تشمل zuckerman مورتيمر ، الذي يملك وظيفة منافس ، نيويورك دايلي نيوز ، ونظم cablevision كورب ، وول ستريت جورنال الابلاغ عنها. The pending agreement was fashioned largely by Mr Murdoch, Mr Zell and a senior banker, the Journal reported, adding that it was believed that Mr Murdoch and Mr Zell met directly several times during negotiations. فان كان الطراز ريثما يتم التوصل الى اتفاق الى حد كبير من قبل السيد murdoch ، السيد مدينة زيل وقال مصرفي كبير ، وأفادت المجله ، واضاف انه يعتقد ان السيد murdoch والسيد مدينة زيل مباشرة اجتمع عدة مرات خلال المفاوضات.

In addition to its stake, it is believed that Tribune will receive $US540 million to $US560million in cash. وبالاضافة الى خطر ، ومن المعتقد ان المنبر سوف تتلقى us540 مليون دولار لus560million دولار نقدا.
As part of the agreement, News Corp would not be able to unwind the joint venture for at least 11 years, the Journal said. وكجزء من الاتفاق ، لنيوز كورب لن تكون قادرة على unwind المشروع المشترك لمدة لا تقل عن 11 سنة ، وقال اليوميه.

Mr murdock is indeed a very powerfull man and in my opinion is grabbing as much power over the mass media as he can . السيد Murdock هو في الواقع قوية جدا والرجل في رأيي هو الاستيلاء على اكبر قدر سلطة على وسائل الاعلام قدر الامكان. The good thing is that print and most forms of tv media is gasping its last breath as the web grows and grows and independant blogs and sites and even programe makers are by-passing traditional outlets for web media , thereby cutting out the middle-man , for that is the future . الشيء الجيد هو ان معظم الأشكال المطبوعه والتلفزيون من وسائل الاعلام يلهث انفاسه الاخيرة على النحو الشبكه وتنمو وتنمو والمستقلة بلوق والمواقع وحتى من قبل واضعي programe اصدار المنافذ التقليديه لشبكة وسائل الاعلام ، وبالتالي قطع الاوسط - رجل ، لذلك هو المستقبل. The time too worry is when the likes of Mr murdock sets their sights on complete domination of the web . في الوقت تقلق هي ايضا عندما يحب Murdock مجموعات من السيد علي مشاهد من السيطرة الكاملة على الويب.
