Ten years ago, Miss Israel, Linor Abargil was abducted, stabbed and raped in Milan, Italy at age 18. Just seven weeks later she went on to win the Miss World competition and vowed to use the honor to tell her story and inspire others in the fight against sexual assault, rid the shame many women feel afterwards and to change the perception of rape around the world.
Throughout her relentless crusade, she has met with many legal complications, particularly when her attacker became eligible for parole. But despite the obstacles, she emerged from her tragedy to become a lawyer and activist as her quest for justice for all victims continues.
Brave Miss World is her story.
