UK activists to lobby MPs on Palestine

British activists are to call on MPs to pressure the Israeli regime to end violation of Palestinian rights.

British activists are to call on MPs to pressure the Israeli regime to end its illegal actions and human rights abuses against the Palestinians.

In a press release on its website on Friday, the UK-based Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) said hundreds of activists are expected to join the œNational Lobby of Parliament for Palestine” on Wednesday, November 27.

Campaigners will ask British MPs to keep Palestine on the agenda and call for the UK government to apply the principles of human rights and international law when it comes to Israel.

They will urge MPs to challenge the Tel Aviv regime™s illegal activities, including ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, Gaza blockade and violation of the human rights of prisoners held in Isreali jails.

British campaigners will also call for a ban on the sale of products from the illegal Israeli settlements.

More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 illegal settlements built since Israel™s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds.

The United Nations and most countries consider the Israeli settlements as illegal because the territories were captured by Israel in the 1967 war and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands.
