According to iCasualties, the total number of allied service members killed in Afghanistan is now 3,257.
In addition, the following notable names lost their lives this week:
Film director Michael Winner, AL state politician Hinton Mitchem, Irish republican activist Dolours Price, diplomat Max Kampelman and Canadian politician Martial Asselin.
