An American author has said that Israel™s nuclear weapons arsenal has made the Zionist regime even more isolated in the world.
œHaving a bomb doesn™t make any difference in the world; it isolates you more than anything,” online columnist Allen Roland said in an interview with Press TV on Wednesday.
œThe classic example of that is Israel who is isolating itself from the world community even with its stockpiles of atomic bombs or nuclear bombs,” he added. œIt™s isolating itself. It no longer carries a big stick. The big stick right now is peace.”
Roland noted that the world™s mindset regarding matters of national security and defense has changed dramatically and that œhaving a nuclear weapon is no longer a trump card.”
œThe people need to say enough is enough, we don™t want war,” he said. œWe want equality.”
The columnist made the remarks after a report by International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War has warned about the existence of nuclear weapons in the world.
There are currently more than 17,000 nuclear warheads which have been ignored since the Cold War ended in 1991, according to the report.
Nine countries are believed to possess nuclear weapons, with Russia and the United States holding the vast majority of them. Israel is the Middle East’s sole possessor of nuclear weapons.
The study also said that a possible nuclear war between the United States and Russia could lead to the extinction of the human race.
œThe whole thought of what would happen if the United States or the Soviet Union traded nuclear bombs is ridiculous, it™s never going to happen,” Roland said.
