Iran Army capable of countering any threats: Cmdr.
In March, the Iranian Army™s Ground Forces held a military drill, codenamed Bait-ul-Muqaddas 25, in the central Iranian province of Esfahan.
A senior Iranian commander says the Islamic Republic of Iran is keeping a watchful eye on all potential threats against the country.
œ[The Army] is monitoring all threats and is capable of countering any threats in the air and on land and in difficult conditions,” said commander of the Iranian Army™s Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan on Saturday.
œThe Army of the Islamic Republic [of Iran] constantly monitors all extensive regional and transregional movements,” said the Iranian commander.
He added that Iran™s Army will unveil its new achievements on the first day of the Sacred Defense Week on September 22.
Pourdastan further stated that the Army™s Ground Forces are to stage maneuvers dubbed Qamar-e Bani Hashem in an area covering 250 square kilometers in the south of the country in November.
In recent years, Iran has secured great accomplishments in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems.
The Islamic Republic has held several military drills to enhance the defense capabilities of its armed forces and to test modern military tactics and equipment.
The Ground Forces of Iran™s Army held a military exercise, codenamed Bait-ul-Muqaddas 25, in the central Iranian province of Esfahan in March and succeeded in achieving all pre-planned objectives.
The Ground Forces also staged a three-day drill, codenamed Khatam al-Anbia, in the southwestern province of Khuzestan in March, during which new indigenous missiles were test-fired.
Iran has repeatedly said its military might poses no threat to other countries, insisting that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.
