Infowars challenges Piers Morgan to Declare Government Has Become Fully Tyrannical

Morgan makes a near 180, declares American government “vaguely tyrannical”

It would seem CNN host Piers Morgan is still not quite ready to fully admit the US government has devolved into an utterly tyrannical state.

On his prime-time show Thursday, he declared the recent IRS’ targeting of conservative groups and Justice Department’s phone tapping scandal only “vaguely” resemble “tyrannical behavior.”

Speaking to guest comedian and illusionist Penn Jillette about the public scandals, Morgan stated gun rights lobbyists and Tea Party groups in the past had falsely “squealed a lot about this kind of thing,” but now “it’s absolutely crystal clear that that’s exactly what the IRS has been doing.”

But according to Morgan, the White House’s recent scandals have merely “bordered” on tyrannical behavior.

Given the markedly stark departure from his former stance, however, perhaps the recent controversies will serve as a catalyst for Mr. Morgan to finally go research the growing tyranny that’s been metastasizing since even before he was born.

US Government’s History of Volunteering Unsuspecting Persons for Secret Experiments

For starters, Piers may want to investigate the history of the Tuskegee experiments, in which the US Public Health Service, from 1932 to 1972, conducted illegal testing of the STD syphilis on human subjects. “In that experiment,” Farid Zakaria wrote, “some 600 impoverished African-American men were observed in a study on the progression of untreated syphilis. Some of the men were intentionally infected with the disease and all of them were denied the cure. Regrettably, the report notes, no one was held accountable for this crime against humanity.”

Last year, an FOIA request also revealed the US army had conducted secret chemical experiments back in the 50s and 60s on residents of towns like St. Louis, MO, completely unbeknownst to citizens. The documents confirmed “chemical sprayers on building and station wagons” targeted unsuspecting residents with “the spraying of zinc cadmium sulfide,” a chemical known to cause kidney and bone toxicity and lung cancer. Nothing tyrannical about that.

Furthermore, in 2010, the US government also had to issue an apology after it was revealed that 700 people in Guatemala were intentionally infected with sexually transmitted diseases in the 40s.

A lawsuit last September also claimed the EPA tested the effects of diesel exhaust on human subjects. “EPA actually has pictures of this gas chamber, a clear plastic pipe stuck into the mouth of a subject, his lips sealing it to his face, diesel fumes inhaled straight into the lungs,” American Tradition Institute Environmental Law Center (ATI) lead counsel and director David W. Schnare contended. “…under EPA regulations and under EPA policy, this human experimentation is strictly prohibited.”

Tyrannical Violations of Civil Liberties Under the Pretext of fighting the War on Terror

Since 9/11, the perpetual “war on terror” has afforded the government extreme constitutional elasticity and has provided ample examples of tyranny.

Last August, for instance, former Iraqi and Afghanistan war veteran Brandon Raub was temporarily “disappeared” by authorities after making several Facebook posts denouncing the government’s “very sick twisted problems.” The FBI claimed the posts were “terrorist in nature,” and law enforcement forcefully hauled him away from his home to a mental institution for a psychiatric evaluation. Did not Raub’s abduction and detention also constitute tyrannical behavior, Mr. Morgan?

Infowars has also documented the imprisonment and secret trials of political activists in Portland, Oregon for simply ascribing to anarchist ideals and possessing anarchist literature.

The war on terror has also allowed the US to target American citizens abroad for summary execution by unmanned drones with little to no backlash from the public.

In October 2011, Denver-born 16-year-old Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, the son of alleged terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki, was killed by a drone strike in Yemen for merely sharing his father’s surname. Ever the dangerous terrorist, Abdulrahman was reportedly killed while “barbecuing under the moonlight” with his friends.

A report by the Daily Mail last year also detailed how “between 2,562 and 3,325 people have been killed since the strikes in Pakistan began in 2004.”

“The report said of those, up to 881 were civilians, including 176 children. Only 41 people who had died had been confirmed as ‘high-value’ terrorist targets,” David Rose wrote.

Of course, the Justice Department’s orchestration of the gun-walking operation Fast and Furious — which saw the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) willingly deliver about 2,000 firearms into the hands of Mexican drug gangs — would also be a good place for Morgan to start his research on government tyranny. In 2011, U.S. Congressman Darrell Issa (R—CA) estimated that more than 200 Mexicans were killed by US guns supplied during the operation.

Morgan has ‘Vaguely’ Made himself an Enemy of Obama

Two weeks ago, President Barack Obama gave a speech to Ohio State University graduates urging them to “reject” warnings about government “tyranny.”

“Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems,”Obama told the audience at the Ohio State commencement ceremony. “They’ll warn that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.”

According to Obama, Mr. Morgan’s comments concerning a “vaguely tyrannical” government should be outright rejected simply because Obama says so.

In light of the recent revelations regarding the administration
s targeting of political opponents, however, Morgan’s remarks may have inadvertently made him an enemy of the administration, or a member of the “black helicopter crowd” to borrow a phrase from Vice President Joe Biden.

Alex warned Piers

Back in January, Alex Jones appeared on Morgan’s CNN show, attempting to educate him and his scanty audience on the history of tyrannical governments.

“They’ve taken everybody’s guns, but the Swiss and the American people and when they get our guns, they can have their world tyranny while the government buys 1.6 billion bullets, armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, predator drones, armed now in U.S. skies, being used to arrest people in North Dakota,” declared Jones.

“The Second Amendment isn’t there for duck hunting, it’s there to protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs,” Alex told the British subject who speechlessly supplied a blank stare.

These examples of tyranny do not by any stretch even begin to scratch the surface of the evils perpetrated by the US government.

In response to Piers’ recent statements, Infowars implores Mr. Morgan to conduct his own research and go all the way in addressing the totality of corruptness we are dealing with.

The offer to join the republic still stands, Mr. Morgan.
